You're welcome Smile

Oh yes, we're doing well, thank you. I hope everything's fine with you too!

Have you ever met the Queen?

I remember I read an article where person - who is responsible for the protocol - explains what will happen when she arrives.

In my words, don't remember how exactly it was writen

You'll all be standing here, forming a line. The Queen will go from one to another and ask "How do you do?"

You shall NOT answer anything like "My knee hurts, but - other than that - I'm fine, thank you, Your Majesty". Why? Because she doesn't really care how you feel. All you WILL say is: "How do you do?", and she will the move on to the next person. Got it?

Is that really so?

Doesn't Croatia have a royal family or two? I think that Europe in general is cluttered up with all sorts of left-over monarchs. But it must be only Merrie England where they are still being given vast amounts of money by their worshipping subjects. My own opinion? I couldn't put it better than this,

To be honest us Brits don't take the phrase "how are you?" literally. It's more of a greeting. The expected reply is something along the lines of "I'm fine, thank you for asking. How are you?" Smile

@John, nope, no royal families here.

Croats came "here" in 7th century. In 925 we got our first king, Tomislav.

The last ones we had were while Croatia was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire (till 1918) and Serbian Karađorđević royal family during Kingdom of Yugoslavia (till 1941).

After the WW2, there was communism and Josip Broz Tito who lead the country till his death in 1980. In 1990s, Yugoslavia fell apart in a bloody war and we're our own republic ever since.

As I said, all our kings are long time dead.
