Hi experts,
My server RAM is 12GB. i installed 10gr2 and implemented /3GB also. Eventhough my database is giving problem. Could you please give some valuable advice.

Thanks for your reply...
Whenever our application is working, in between we are getting message like that 'database not connected'. total users are connected 60 to 70.

More over check you network connections.And consult you dba.

I thought this is may be server memory issue. Whenever i am getting problems, i am restarting the oracle services. Then it will ok for some more times.

If it is a production environment then what will you do ?
do you restart the entire service?

It is a Live Server. In this issues i am getting lots of pressure from end users. Thats why i am restarting the entire service.

check your alertlog file for the errors.And check your network connections more importantly consult your DBA as we dont know your network settings/sql net settings.

Trace out the cause and resolve.

Post results of
SELECT * from v$version

I am getting this error recently. Becoz we are started our application also recently. This is my oracle version.

SQL> select * from v$version;

As mention it is 10gr2 and the server is windows 2003.

I suspect problem is root cause is external to DB.

2 tier Application only.

I called one DBA from outside. He was telling may be a server or database memory issue.
