dear sir/madam,
iam installing oracle 11g rel2 (o/s:hpux 11.31 )
iam getting below error while COPYING THE INSTALLATION FILES....
invalid entry size (expected 3072432 but got 3075558 bytes )
and coming out the installation....
if i see the logs in oracle/oraInventory/logs - folder...
it shows
INFO: Shutting down OUISetupDriver.JobExecutorThread
SEVERE: [FATAL] invalid entry size (expected 3072432 but got 3075558 bytes)
CAUSE: No additional information available.
ACTION: Refer to the logs or contact Oracle Support Services
SUMMARY:
- invalid entry size (expected 3072432 but got 3075558 bytes).
Refer associated stacktrace #oracle.install.commons.util.exception.DefaultErrorAdvisor:5967
INFO: Advice is ABORT
SEVERE: Unconditional Exit
INFO: Adding ExitStatus FAILURE to the exit status set

should i set any kernel parameters ?

maxfiles_lim - now fixed.
for 2nd one, OS-Core-B.11.31 -
iam applying the standard QPK bundle for 11.31 ver.
because my "uname -a" reads,
HP-UX labhpia1 B.11.31 U ia64 0326810886 unlimited-user license
let me check now and upate.
