1. oracle 11g installation with compression features.
2. Guideline to enable this feature.
by the by is this any OS dependent?

If you have an edition that supports compression there is nothing to do to install it.
To use this feature you just have to follow the documentation: http://tahiti.oracle.com

Would any one like to tell me Oracle 11g 11.1.0.6.0 version contains the advanced compression features or not?
